ABOUT NÜXIA

Nuxia (pronounced “NU-sha”) is a Bay-Area raised pianist, vocalist, music producer, composer, and performing artist. Having performed on competitive classical stages worldwide from a young age, their fascination with songwriting and storytelling has been a driving force in their creative journey. Nuxia’s artistic process marries a broad range of skills in both concert and underground music settings through uninhibited experimentation and bold expression.

After studying at USC Thornton School of Music from 2015-2019 under keyboard professor Dr. Antoinette Perry, they graduated in 2019 with a BA in Music / emphasis in Keyboard Studies in 2019 and moved to Oakland, CA, where they began working on their very first music projects with highly influential colleagues AroMa and Xae. Among their peers, they have fueled huge contributions to many classic Bay Area underground music projects of the past few years, including: AroMa's "Symphony No Harmony" (2021), SuperGood4uThing's “SuperGood4uThing” (2021) and "FUTURISTA" (2022), Qamp's "Qamp II" (2023) and “Qamp III" (2024), and Free Key Choir's "Rust is a Slow Fire" (2024) and "Reservoir" (2025).

Nuxia's musical style blends experimental r&b with “jazzy songwriter DNA". Their captivating, agile vocals and virtuosic piano playing are unmistakable forces of their sound.

Nuxia’s debut self-produced and written EP, “Cute Dreams, Sad Eyes”, is set to release in August of 2025. The project explores themes of heartache, loneliness, and secrecy through a distinctive mix of 80’s-reminiscent pop, trip-hop, experimental r&b, and jazz.
